Dear All:

After 20 months or more of posts, it was time to archive the posts from this forum.

Here are some of the reasons for this:

1. The "discussions" had become repetitive and, at times, circular in logic. We had beat this subject to death -- and then some.

2. It was the same handful of people saying (basically) the same things over and over. We know some of you are just now reading SOF and have not had a chance to voice your opinions. We think if you read through the past posts, you will most likely find that someone has already posted a thought at least similiar to yours. That's going to have to do for now. There may come a time when we'll re-open this topic, but probably not anytime in the near future. Read through the past posts and you will find a lot of interesting information, etc.

3. There are 18 other MC books that deal with a variety of stimulating subjects other than global warming that might be of interest to the world at large. (Maybe not you, but others.) Let's talk about some of those for a while.

4. There are many topics to peruse/read about SOF in the SOF Archive read-only forum. There is probably 700 hours of reading to do here and I know you will find those with whom you agree as well as those with whom you disagree -- each side being represented.

We decided to give SOF, global warming, scientific studies, weather patterns -- the whole shebang -- a rest for a while in hopes that posters will find other MC subjects to discuss.

I hope new posters will feel free to join in the other discussions. New blood is always welcome here!!! Tell you friends!

Please do not start another SOF thread in the BOOKS forum, either. SOF is off-limits for the near future. I'll let you know if/when the topic will be re-opened. Also, please do not post oblique references to SOF, global warming, etc., in other forums either (like science, for example). They'll get deleted. Let's just give it a rest for a while and see how it goes.

All other MC subjects are open for business!

SOF has been a wild ride, but it was time to move on.
